A Bible Timeline Chart Presents A Creative Way To Aid And Help Teach Bible Events And Characters And Truths
Alas, a many Pastors and teachers in our churches go on and preach superficial, flimsy, shallow, light weight sermons and their members scarcely grow in biblical knowledge and understanding. Preachers love to give us'moral essays' and'warming affirmations' because supposedly, if we love people this is what we will do. Unfortunate it seems, if God's men and women are falling through the cracks'for a lack of knowledge' so long as we are positive and loving to all. In truth, the more like the world, the less relevant we are to the world.
Why do we get stuck in a rut of our favorite themes and feel good preaching?
We instruct on a verse from Colossians and a narrative about Peter and a topic from the book of 2 Chronicles and then the example of Moses or the miracles through Paul - pieces from here and there, but we do not put it all at once in a plain understandable, easy to remember, perspective with a decent Bible TimeLine including Church History as well. Constantly we are bombarded with new books, modernist ideas, some of them dangerously edging toward Liberal doctrine, when if we were to be taught the fundamental principles of Church history, we then would not be so bound to repeat it.
Let's us as tutors and preachers sew together the aspects of the Bible and His plan into a complete picture that our people are able to draw on for the remainder of life, helping them to comprehend God, His Eternal Plan, the role of the Church and ways to better translate the Bible to order our lives by.
It's not hard to do, and it is not boring if we are ready to put in a bit of study with prayer and fervor, and just perhaps you can employ a Bible Timeline too.
